It’s no secret that I’ve never missed a single episode of the We Can Do Hard Things podcast hosted by Glennon, Abby, and Amanda. On the pod, we’ve heard Abby lament, “Why hard things? Can we do easy things sometimes?” All I keep thinking is: I want to do soft things… and even softer still.
If it’s even friggin’ possible, I’m getting more tender as I ripen in age… like all the good fruits. 🍑 It feels like maturing. By that I don’t simply mean squishy flesh that’s aging (though that’s happening, too), but I feel emotionally softer.
I desire to create a soft life. A true life. A beautiful life — in all facets: relationship, health, career, environment…
Relationally, I’m stronger in my convictions and more solid in knowing who I am, and because of that, I feel an opening in me. Let me be clear that softer does not necessarily mean easier. In many ways, it’s more challenging because it requires us to grow beyond our defenses. I don’t have space …
