Wow, friends… It’s November. It’s Scorpio season. It’s deep, cozy autumn. It’s sweata-weatha. It’s the brink of holiday time. We’ve got this.

On the first day of each month, I’ll share a vibe for the month ahead with prism’s paid subscribers. These posts include my curations of poetry, music, art, fashion, beauty, and/or other areas of expression. As we snuggle into November 2023 together, in this post I’ll share with you some of the specific ways I’m turning my environment into a sanctuary in support of regulating my nervous system.

My November vibe: Safe sanctuary. One of the things I’m currently working with, on both soma and soul levels, is nervous system regulation. (Gosh, that system is so aptly named!) I’m aiming to find a way back to a relaxed, safe state without full-on collapse. With the condition of the world in this moment, it feels so necessary to resource ourselves so that we are able to respond. I’ve learned that in order for me to do this internally, as a person who is ultra-sensitive to sensory inputs, I need to turn my home environment into a sanctuary and be sure my lifestyle is supporting (and nurturing!) the needs of my particular system.

Below I’ll share with you some of the rituals, items, art, and words that are helping me to lovingly attune to myself — and, of course, access to this month’s curated playlist! These aren’t paid promotions - they’re just some of the things that are helping and inspiring me:
