It’s been an interesting week since I posted about parenting a nonbinary teenager. That post got more eyeballs than any prior post on prism, but far fewer ❤️s on that post in the Substack app. AND when I shared the post on Instagram, it got more likes than most of my posts, BUT I also lost more followers immediately upon posting than I have with any other post in years. I’m absolutely okay to see them go, yet so very sad that gender diversity is still so misunderstood and feared.
