It’s February, friends! There’s lotsa love talk this month… and it can be felt, expressed, and explored in so many ways. Here, I’d love to share some ideas with you that come from the heart. 💜 On the first day of each month, I share a vibe for the month ahead with prism’s paid subscribers. These posts include my curations of poetry, music, art, fashion, beauty, and/or other areas of expression. Please consider referring a friend to prism, as you’ll get free months toward your own subscription, and we’ll grow this radiant community.

Below you’ll find 12 pieces of artful and soulful inspiration on the idea of love. You’ll also gain access to February’s curated playlist, which is my favorite part of each month because it gives me a new sampling of tunes to listen to in the car… or in the case of this month’s playlist, perhaps while making out! 💏

  1. Eros was one of the primordial gods who helped to bring creation into existence. In Greek mythology, Eros mated with Chaos, and life sprang forth into the light. The term eros goes beyond sexual love or lust to describe the life-force energy needed to create. I like to remind myself of this idea of Eros, passion, and life-force energy so that I can be intentional about how I am channeling my own. Is yours going into your relationships? your vocation? your art? This is a good time of year to reassess how you want to consciously direct your life-force.

  2. I can’t possibly write a post about love without including

    Andrea Gibson
who is a beaming heart walking this earth. This is a beautiful love poem of theirs for their partner Megan Falley. Maybe it’ll inspire you to write your own…?

  3. Maitri is a concept I learned about in my graduate studies at Naropa University, a Buddhist-oriented school. It’s a Buddhist concept that means unconditional positive self-regard or self-love. It’s not about becoming better; it is about dropping the struggle to be different from who and what we are. Here’s a short clip of Pema Chodron explaining maitri. I love it so much that maitri is one of the cards in my SoulSpace Oracle deck.
